BA just dropped its annual June sale - and the Caribbean fares genuinely raised an eyebrow this morning. Club World to Punta Cana from £1,792 return is one of the lowest prices you'll see all year for a lie-flat seat across the Atlantic.

✈️ BA's June Sale Drops Club World Fares - Caribbean Seats from £1,792

The Caribbean Routes Worth Acting On Before the Sale Thins Out

The British Airways June sale is now live across both flights and holidays, running until 25th June. That sounds generous, but in practice the most competitive fares on popular routes tend to go within the first week or two. If you're eyeing the Caribbean or North America, treat this as a this-week decision.

The headline Caribbean Club World fares are genuinely strong - especially compared to standard pricing on these routes, where fares regularly exceed £3,500. Here's a snapshot of the best:

  • Punta Cana - £1,792 return

  • Antigua - £1,959 return

  • Kingston - £1,915 return

  • Grenada - £2,099 return

  • Nassau - £2,378 return

  • Grand Cayman - £2,474 return

  • Tobago - £2,483 return

Heads up: Cancun is notably NOT on that list - it's priced at £2,867, which is reportedly over £1,000 more than it appeared in the previous BA sale. That's not a deal; that's just a fare. Don't get swept up by the sale branding on routes where the numbers don't stack up.

One genuinely overlooked gem is Cairo at £792 return Club World. That's lower than the previous sale fare and still has a 3-night minimum stay requirement - but for a long-haul lie-flat fare at that price, it's worth knowing about.

North America is more mixed. Some routes are £500-£1,000 more expensive than the previous sale, though Denver at £1,890 and Chicago at £2,140 stand out as reasonable starting points. Importantly, some routes have no peak summer exclusion this year, meaning you can travel during the school holidays without a penalty fare.

One important practical note: check which aircraft is operating your specific flight. Some routes still use the older Club World seat (the one with less privacy), while others have the newer Club Suite. The difference in comfort is significant. Use BA's Low Fare Finder to check availability across travel dates.

Many routes have sale fares available through late March 2027 - so this isn't just a summer booking window. Autumn and winter travel is very much in play.

🏨 BA Holidays: Club Europe Packages Worth a Second Look

5-Night City Breaks With Club Europe Flights Under £1,000 Per Person

Alongside the flights, BA Holidays has a range of packaged deals that are worth considering if you're flexible on destination. The packages include return Club Europe flights and 5-star accommodation with breakfast - and a few of the city break prices are genuinely competitive.

Standouts from the city break list (5 nights, 5-star, breakfast, Club Europe flights for 2):

  • Hilton Prague Atrium - £658 in July

  • Palazzo San Niccolo Florence - £701 in July

  • Grand Hotel Krakow - £873 in July

  • Meliá Barcelona Sarrià - £885 in August

The 7-night European escapes with 5-star accommodation are also interesting. Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort in Alicante comes in at £980 per person sharing in July - that includes Club Europe flights and breakfast for a week. For context, the flights alone in Club Europe to Alicante would often run £400-£500 each way during peak summer.

The honest caveat here: BA Holidays works brilliantly if you're not a hotel loyalty member. If you hold Marriott Titanium, Hilton Gold, or any mid-tier status, booking direct at the hotel often gives you better room upgrades, late checkout, and breakfast included anyway - reducing the package advantage. Run the numbers both ways before committing.

That said, BA Holidays lets you pay with Avios and use a BA Amex Companion Voucher to reduce the cost - which is a genuine advantage if you have either of those burning a hole in your account. Just remember that spending Avios on BA Holidays typically returns significantly less value per point than using them for flight redemptions.

🏨 Marriott Bonvoy Moments: A Paris Weekend for 200,000 Points

Why Bonvoy Amex Holders Should Check Their Points Balance This Week

If you hold the Marriott Bonvoy American Express card and have 200,000 Bonvoy points to hand, there's an interesting experiential redemption available right now. Marriott Moments is offering a weekend package in Paris that represents solid value for points collectors who prefer experiences over hotel nights.

Marriott Moments are curated experiences you can book using Bonvoy points - think exclusive dinners, cultural events, and city experiences. The Paris offering is particularly well-timed given the post-Olympics tourism bump and continued demand for premium travel to the city.

If you don't have 200,000 points yet but are close, the Marriott Bonvoy buy points offer is currently running with a 40% bonus through 23rd June. Points are priced at roughly 0.89¢ each during the promotion - not the cheapest route, but viable if you have a specific redemption in mind rather than buying speculatively.

Worth noting: Marriott Bonvoy members can also earn double points on Homes & Villas stays in the US and Europe until 12th July (bookings must be made by 30th June). If you're planning a summer group trip or longer stay, that's a meaningful bonus on what can be large bookings.

🎾 Amex at Wimbledon 2026: What's Actually Worth Your Time on Site

The Perks That Make Ground Admission Feel Like Premium Access

Wimbledon runs from Monday 29th June to Sunday 12th July this year, and if you hold any American Express card, there are on-site perks waiting for you. This is easy to overlook if you've never been through the Amex hospitality area at SW19.

Amex cardholders get access to the Amex lounge on site, along with various freebies and card-exclusive experiences during the two-week tournament. The access applies to all Amex cardholders - you don't need Platinum or a premium tier card.

If you're planning to queue for ground admission this summer (and thousands of UK tennis fans do exactly that), having an Amex card in your pocket upgrades the day considerably. The queue itself can take a few hours, so having a comfortable space to retreat to whilst inside the grounds makes a real difference.

It's also worth checking the Amex website closer to the start of the tournament for any ballot opportunities - Amex periodically offers cardholders the chance to apply for premium ticket packages that aren't available through the public ballot.

🚨 Deal Alert: Marriott Buy Points 40% Bonus - Ends 23rd June

Marriott Bonvoy's current buy points promotion gives you a 40% bonus, bringing the effective cost to around 0.89¢ per point. The deal runs until 23rd June - that's in 16 days from today.

Is it worth buying? Only if you have a specific redemption in mind - a city centre Marriott for a UK staycation, a Category 5 resort abroad, or a Marriott Moments experience. Buying speculatively and holding points is rarely a great strategy given the risk of devaluations.

The maths: 50,000 points at 0.89¢ each costs roughly £35. A Category 4 Marriott that costs £150/night in cash might redeem for around 25,000-30,000 points - so the value works out to approximately 0.5-0.6p per point. That's not market-leading, but Marriott points have a solid floor given the breadth of properties worldwide.

🚨 Deal Alert: Virgin Points Ash Rooftop Gig - 7,500 Points for an Exclusive London Show

If you're a fan of Ash - the band behind 90s classics like Girl from Mars - Virgin Red has tickets to an exclusive rooftop gig this Friday (12th June) at the News Building at London Bridge, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their '1977' album.

Tickets are priced at 7,500 Virgin Points each. That's a niche one, but if you're a fan it's a legitimately cool way to redeem points on something memorable rather than just topping up a flight.

Heads up: allocation is likely limited and this is a targeted Virgin Red offer, so check your Virgin Red app to see if you're eligible. With the gig on Friday 12th June, you'd need to move quickly - this isn't one to sit on.

🌎 Trivia Reveal

The answer is 🔵 Late March 2027.

Most routes in the BA June sale have fares available through late March 2027, and Europe Club Europe fares run until early December 2026 with some stretching to mid-March 2027. This makes the sale genuinely useful for planning winter sun or early spring travel - not just a summer booking window.

💬 Quick Question

BA June sale - are you a cash fare booker or do you always reach for the Avios first? I'm genuinely curious whether readers find these cash fares compete with what they'd get on a Reward Flight Saver redemption. Hit reply and let me know where you're eyeing up for 2026-27.

(And if you've already spotted a route in the sale that looks genuinely exceptional - I'd love to hear about it. The more eyes on these fares, the better.)

That's it for today - but don't let the BA June sale window slip by without at least checking the Caribbean fares. Punta Cana at £1,792 in Club World won't be sitting there until 25th June. And if you're topping up Marriott points for a summer stay, the 40% buy bonus ends on 23rd June - that's your next hard deadline.
