Who writes this

The people behind Smart With Points

Smart With Points is written in the UK, for the UK. Every offer, devaluation and status match here is checked against the airline, bank or loyalty programme itself before it reaches your inbox. When the maths does not work, we say so.

WHAT WE COVER

Avios, Amex and UK credit cards

Airline and hotel elite status

Award seats, sweet spots and devaluations

Lounges, routes and life at the airport

60+

free calculators and tools, built in house and free to use on this site.

01

Primary sources only

Every figure comes from the airline, bank or loyalty programme itself. If the official page is not live yet, we say so and swap the link in when it is.

02

Written for the UK

Most of the points world is American. We flag the offers you cannot get from here rather than padding the newsletter out with deals you cannot use.

03

We say when it is not worth it

A transfer bonus is not automatically a good deal. When the numbers do not stack up, that is the article, even when there is a referral link on the page.
