🔥 Amex Platinum's Biggest Ever Welcome Bonus - 100,000 Points!
Limited Time Offer Ending Tomorrow - Worth Over £1,000 in Travel Value
Fellow points enthusiasts, I've got some exciting news to share! American Express has just launched their most generous welcome bonus ever on the Platinum Card, and I wanted to make sure you don't miss out. Through our exclusive referral link, you can earn a whopping 100,000 Membership Rewards points when you sign up and meet the spending requirements.
While the card does come with a £650 annual fee, the current welcome bonus alone could be worth well over £1,000 when used strategically for flights. Plus, with the ability to get a pro-rata refund if you later decide to cancel, it's a relatively low-risk way to try out the card's premium benefits.
The Key Details
100,000 Membership Rewards points welcome bonus (converts to 100,000 Avios)
£10,000 spending requirement within 6 months
£650 annual fee
Must not have held a personal Amex Gold or Platinum card in the past 24 months
What Makes This Special
This is genuinely unprecedented - we've never seen a bonus this high on the Platinum card in the UK. Even the standard bonus of 60,000 points was considered excellent, so this really is something special. The spending requirement of £10,000 over 6 months works out to about £1,667 per month, which while substantial, gives you a decent amount of time to hit it naturally.
The Real Value - Beyond Just Points
While the 100,000 points are incredible, what makes the Platinum card particularly valuable are its ongoing benefits:
Comprehensive travel insurance for you and family
Priority Pass airport lounge access for you and one guest (I use this extensively when travelling economy)
Plaza Premium lounge access, including the excellent Heathrow T5 lounge
Hotel elite status: Marriott Gold, Hilton Gold, and Radisson Premium
£200 UK dining credit and £200 international dining credit annually
£50 Harvey Nichols credit (valid until June 2025)
I personally find the lounge access and hotel status incredibly valuable. I've used my Priority Pass countless times which has really made my travels much more comfortable.
Should You Get It?
If you're eligible and can comfortably meet the spending requirement, I'd say this is a no-brainer, even with the high annual fee. Here's why:
The points alone are worth at least £1,000 in travel value
The dining credits (£400) and Harvey Nichols credit (£50) largely offset the annual fee
You can get a pro-rata refund if you decide to cancel
The travel insurance and lounge access benefits are fantastic if you travel regularly
