This is it. The enhanced American Express welcome bonuses that have been running since November end tomorrow midnight. If you've been meaning to apply, now's quite literally the time.

I sent a reminder on Saturday, but I know how easy it is for these things to slip through the cracks over a weekend. So here's your final nudge.

What You're Missing After Tomorrow Midnight

Platinum Card

Today: 85,000 points + £250 Amex Travel credit (via referral)

Tomorrow: 50,000 points, no travel credit

You'd lose: 35,000 points + £250 = roughly £600+ in value

Gold Card

Today: 45,000 points, first year free (via referral)

Tomorrow Midnight: 20,000 points

You'd lose: 25,000 points = enough for a return flight to most European cities

Quick Eligibility Check

You're eligible for the welcome bonus if you haven't held a personal Membership Rewards card (Platinum, Gold, Green, or Rewards Credit Card) in the last 24 months.

Holding a BA Amex, Marriott Amex, Nectar Amex, or any business card? You're still eligible.

Special exception: The Platinum bonus is available even if you currently hold a BA Amex - it's specifically excluded from the 24-month rule.

Use our eligibility checker if you're unsure.

The 2-Minute Version

If you can spend £5,000 over 6 months and want an easy win: get the Gold. First year free, 45,000 points, cancel before renewal if it's not for you.

If you travel regularly and can use lounge access, hotel status, and dining credits: consider the Platinum. 85,000 points + £250 travel credit makes the £650 fee much easier to swallow.

If you run a business: the business cards don't have enhanced offers right now, but you're guaranteed the bonus regardless of what other Amex cards you hold.

Also Ending This Week: Barclaycard

The enhanced Barclaycard Avios Plus offer (35,000 Avios vs standard 25,000) runs until Wednesday 15 January. You've got a couple more days on that one, but worth noting if you're planning a credit card application spree.

See our Avios credit card guide for the full comparison.

Apply Now

Good luck - and don't leave it until 11:59pm!
