Emirates Skywards Launches 25% Off Partner Reward Flights

Emirates has just announced a limited-time offer that might be worth your attention if you've been stockpiling Skywards miles. From now until March 31st, 2025, Emirates is offering a 25% discount on redemptions with their airline partners and through Emirates Skywards Hotels.

This means that economy class reward flights on partner airlines now start from just 6,000 Miles instead of the usual 8,000 Miles. Similarly, hotel stays through Emirates Skywards Hotels start from 5,000 Miles, representing a 25% reduction from standard rates.

What's Included in This Offer?

The airline partner discount applies to economy class rewards on flights operated by a wide range of airlines including:

• Air Canada

• Japan Airlines

• Korean Air

• Qantas

• United Airlines

• Azul

• Condor

• Copa Airlines

• Garuda Indonesia

• Air Mauritius

• Bangkok Airways

• GOL Airlines

• Jetstar

• Malaysian Airlines

• South African Airways

• TAP Portugal

It's worth noting that flydubai and easyJet are explicitly excluded from this offer, so don't get your hopes up for discounted short-haul hops with these carriers.

How To Book These Discounted Rewards

For most partner airlines (Air Canada, Azul, Condor, Copa Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Qantas, and United Airlines), you can book directly online:

1. Log in to your Emirates Skywards account

2. Click on "Spend now" on the flight search page

3. Select "Classic Reward"

4. Choose "Partner" from the dropdown menu

5. Check flight availability and complete your booking

For other partners (Air Mauritius, Bangkok Airways, GOL Airlines, Jetstar, Malaysian Airlines, South African Airways, and TAP Portugal), you'll need to use Emirates' Live Chat to book, which is currently only available in English.

Important Dates and Restrictions

• Booking period: Now until March 31st, 2025

• Travel period: Now until January 6th, 2026

• Only new bookings are eligible (existing bookings cannot be cancelled and rebooked to take advantage of the discount)

• Hotel bookings cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded

• The discount is automatically applied during the booking process

My Take

While this isn't the most groundbreaking offer we've seen from Emirates, it represents a solid opportunity if you have Skywards miles that you've been looking to use. The extended travel period (until January 2026) gives plenty of flexibility, and the partner airline list is quite comprehensive.

I'm particularly intrigued by the Japan Airlines option, which could be excellent for those planning a trip to Japan or looking to hop between Asian destinations.
